Let’s Make Video Marketing Masterpieces

Your Facebook posts are awesome. Your emails kick butt. Even your Instagram images are getting attention. So what’s missing?

Oh, right. Video. That thing everyone’s doing to attract customers on social media. In fact, let’s take a little peep into how important video when it comes to social media marketing:

Got the message? Online video is kind of a big deal.

So now the only question is, how’s YOUR video marketing game? Are you content doing your talking head video – the one in which you don’t move and speak for six minutes?

Now I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with that per se, but the more creative your videos are, the more likely viewers will watch them for an extended period of time. The longer they watch, the greater the chance they’ll click, opt-in, purchase, etc.

Does your video attract eyeballs? Can you use some creative help?

Marketing Videos Are Essential to Your Business… AND Easier Than Ever to Make!

Once upon a time, if you wanted to create a video for your business, it was an ordeal. Let’s forget about the Hollywood-esque budget it would take to hire a production company, actors, getting it on TV, etc., if you wanted to do it yourself, the expense it would entail to get the proper recording and editing equipment would be out of reach for most small businesses.

Luckily, digital technology has made DIY video creation possible for everyone. I really believe that anyone who wants to make a professional-level video can do so. Heck… you can even make a cool looking video ON YOUR PHONE! But video concepts and processes don’t come naturally to a lot of entrepreneurs who have a business to run.

That’s why I love to help busy folks like you – as a video creator and a coach to help you perfect your own video process and style. The goal is to help you make effective, engaging videos quickly without the cost of hiring a production company.

But for entrepreneurs, marketing videos should be more than just shooting and editing great footage; it should be approached in the same way you would tackle a marketing letter or email.

When you’re ready to get serious about creating videos that, not only look awesome, but follow the AIDA (Attention, Interest, Decision, Action) formula.

I Know a Little Bit About Producing Great Video Content

So who am I and why should you believe that I know what I’m talking about?  Allow me to explain.

I went to Temple University and majored in Radio/TV/Film. My goal was to be the next Woody Allen. Of course, if you know anything about the film business, unless you’re willing to take a vow of poverty – and with no guarantee of making it with a major studio – your chances of becoming one of the cinematic greats (or even a B-movie flop) are fairly slim.

But I never lost my love for film, or my appreciation for what makes a great production. When I started working in corporate communications, I thought that I was going to be a writer for the rest of my life and my days of making video were in the rearview mirror.

Then as technology got easier and cheaper, my life as a filmmaker was resurrected! I began making internal and external video in corporate communications. Not only did I have a great time making engaging content, it was fulfilling to introduce the video-creation process to my colleagues.

I have a very creative mind and affinity for editing, and I’ve been able to take seemingly boring topic and created engaging content that made my audiences pay attention.
